Obedience Is Trust With Feet
Scripture (ESV)
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.” — Proverbs 3:5
Earlier, obedience was the response of love to what God had made clear. Here, the same word returns from another angle. Obedience is trust with feet.
Every act of obedience answers a question: who do you believe knows best? God, or your own understanding?
That question gets real when the command is clear but the outcome is not. When faithfulness does not immediately make life easier. When you cannot see where obedience will lead.
Trust posture means you follow before every question is settled. Not blindly. Not foolishly. But because God’s wisdom is not waiting for your approval before it becomes true.
Why this matters
If you only obey when the outcome makes sense, then your understanding is still the final authority. But when obedience becomes trust, you follow God beyond the edge of what you can control.
