What Will You Refuse to Trade?

“No one can serve two masters…” — Matthew 6:24
Loyalty is easy to claim before somebody offers you a deal.
The real test comes when truth costs approval, when obedience costs opportunity, when belonging to God puts tension inside another relationship. That is when loyalty stops being a feeling and becomes a decision.
Loyalty is what you refuse to trade. What you will not sell for comfort. What you will not abandon to stay liked. Whose word still carries the most weight when two authorities are pulling on you.
Jesus says no one can serve two masters. Eventually, one will win. Not because you do not have many responsibilities, but because only one allegiance can sit at the top.
Why this matters
If your loyalties stay vague, pressure will decide them for you. But when your allegiance to God is clear, every other relationship and responsibility can stay in its proper place.
