Daily Journey: Day 88
You Let Him Teach You
Scripture (ESV)
“Teach me your way, O LORD, that I may walk in your truth…” — Psalm 86:11
There’s a shift that starts happening when you stop trying to get through moments and start letting them shape you. Instead of just reacting or managing what’s in front of you, you begin to ask, “What is God showing me here?”
And that changes everything. The frustration, the tension, the moments where something in you doesn’t line up—you stop brushing past them. You stop explaining them away. You start paying attention to them as places where God is actually at work.
That’s where learning becomes real. Not collecting ideas. Not adding more information. But being shaped by what God is exposing and teaching in real time. And if you’re honest, some of those moments aren’t comfortable. They show you things about yourself you’d rather not see. But they’re not random.
God is not absent in those moments. He’s not distant from what’s being revealed in you. He’s teaching you through it. And when you start to see it that way, you don’t rush past your life anymore—you begin to walk through it with Him.
Why this matters
If you move through life without recognizing that God is actively teaching you, you’ll keep repeating the same patterns. But when you begin to see your moments as places where He is forming you, your growth becomes intentional and grounded in Him.
Reflection
Are you trying to get through your moments—or are you allowing God to teach you through them?
